Outreach and Consultation Meeting
To All Oromos,

The Oromo Community Organization is hosting an outreach and consultation meeting with all Oromos living in the Washington Metropolitan Area on Saturday, November 18, 2006 between 2-5:00pm at Howard University Douglas Hall, Room #116. All Oromos are invited to this important meeting.

When the general assembly approved the plan of action the Board proposed in May 2006 (see www.oneoromo.org for the work plan), it had anticipated high community participation. However, the Board has since observed, regrettably, that participation and voluntarism has remained very low. In this meeting, the Board will like to hear your views and listen to your advice on how to strengthen our Community, and collectively confront the many challenges we face. The Board will also present an update on what it has accomplished since it was elected.

The Board is committed to hearing everyone’s voice. Please come and join us, and bring family and friends to this exciting event of discussion and deliberation.
