To all Oromos:

As a way to contribute to an important cause , and have fun at the same time, the Board of the Oromo Community Organization is pleased to announce that it is organizing yet another night of entertainment and party!

On March 31, 2007, popular Oromo artists, Qamar Yusuf, Dawit Mekonnen, and Abdi Nuressa, are ready to entertain Oromos in the Washington Metropolitan Area at 805 Wayne Avenue , Silver Spring , Maryland 20910 between 7:00 PM to 2:00AM [The same venue where we had the 2007 Oromo New Year Party]. We hope that you will come and enjoy yourself in the company of these great musicians and artists!

The funds raised from this party will go towards the Oromo House Project. As you may recall, the Project has about $50,000 in seed money from our past volunteer donors, but the dream of building an Oromo Community House in the Washington DC area remains unfulfilled. The Board believes that no dream is too big for the Oromo Community to pursue if we can join hands.

The event is sponsored by Obbo Mike Abebe Mekonnen, a nationalist Oromo businessman whose vision and dedication to the Oromo cause is widely recognized and respected within the greater Oromo community of North America .

The Board cordially invites all adults, youth, and children to come and enjoy this night of wonderful entertainment, and at the same time support the Oromo House Project. Please come prepared to give to the Project: All donations and contributions to the Project from our community members will be matched dollar-for-dollar by our generous sponsor!

Sincerely,
Board of Directors
Oromo Community Organization, DC
